Behind the Music

The Tinderbox Experience has evolved since it was first created by it's founder member singer songwriter Steve Appleyard in 2007.

The band was originally called The Oak Tree Tinderbox Experience and over a five year period never saw an official gig.

"This was a huge learning curve, and one that drove me to frustration as I saw a number of musicians come and go without actually performing a live gig.. that was was how I gained my diploma in creative song writing.. the university of life has a lot to offer !

At 15 years old my son Louie is an awesome creation, he is our lead guitarist and my co creative partner in song writing.. he's also my best pal" (Steve Appleyard).
